Per Ardua Ad Astra – A history of aerospace

Welcome to the educational podcast “Aerospace – history and future”, hosted by me, Pranav Vempati.  In this first episode, Per Ardua Ad Astra, we will discuss how humans surmounted long odds to invent powered flight, the rapid advance of powered flight and rocketry through the 20th century and two world wars, and the current status of spaceflight and prospects for colonization of the solar system. We will also discuss the revolutionary ideas and designs and the efforts behind some of the most memorable moments in the history of aerospace, from the Wright Brothers’ first flight to the innovations of the Second World War to Apollo 11 and the Concorde.

Enjoy!
